What Is the Family Child Care Startup Grant?
This program helps individuals open a licensed Family Child Care (FCC) home — a small, home-based business that provides care for young children.
You’ll receive financial support to purchase the equipment and items needed for your license, plus personalized help to get you up and running.
Offered through Friends of the Future, this program is designed to remove barriers so you can focus on what matters: caring for keiki in our community.

WHO CAN APPLY?
If you can say “yes” to these, you may be eligible:
You are opening a licensed Family Child Care Home (FCC) in Hawaiʻi County.

You will complete 30 hours of required training with PATCH.
You have submitted a DHS application and have been assigned a licensing worker.
You will participate in:
